Eftim Velahos, the firm’s principal shareholder and founder, provides representation to governmental bodies, corporations and individuals in several specialized areas of the law, including: municipal law, public finance, real estate, banking and labor/employment law. The Firm’s main focus is on transactional matters including all aspects of real estate, finance (both public and private), health care, bankruptcy, banking, title insurance, loan workouts (both residential and commercial) and redevelopment law. Through Mr. Velahos, the Firm has previously counselled municipalities, boards of education, county governments, authorities, banks and corporations in transactional and planning matters.

Mr. Velahos has represented many public agencies at the state, county and local levels as bond counsel and special counsel (concentrating in redevelopment law, real estate law, taxation and environmental/solid waste law).
Representative New Jersey municipal (local) general counsel and/or bond counsel experience includes the Borough of National Park, the Township of Elk, the Township of West Deptford, the Township of Deptford, the City of Linden, the Gloucester County Utilities Authority, the Gloucester County Improvement Authority, the Union County Improvement Authority and several school districts in lease-purchase (subject to appropriation) financings.
Mr. Velahos previously acted as general counsel, bond counsel, underwriters counsel and/or bank counsel in numerous financings involving the issuance of over one billion dollars of taxable and tax-exempt debt. Representative State and County issuers of such debt include the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, the Middlesex County Improvement Authority, the Union County Improvement Authority, the Mercer County Improvement Authority, the Camden County Improvement Authority, the Gloucester County Improvement Authority, the Gloucester County Utilities Authority, the County of Hudson, the County of Mercer, the County of Essex and the County of Burlington.
